Contactless Pick-up Points - Safe AND Convenient
New Ways CASE Emergency System is Helping People Serve Their Audience

What They Needed:
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, a nationwide mega-mart retailer started offering contactless pick-up. They wanted to designate specific parking spaces with highly visible towers and strobes so that shoppers could remain in their vehicles while store associates delivered items to their trunks or back seats, as desired. The company called CASE because they didn’t want to have to dig up their parking lot to supply power to the new beacons, and also wanted to see if they could customize towers to meet their brand standards.
How CASE Responded:
Starting with our CASE Blue Light Tower design, we made several modifications. The phone faceplate and communications equipment were removed at the retailer’s request, and the housing was sealed. Additionally, CASE matched not only the brand’s exact PANTONE color for the exterior paint, but also matched the brand’s font for labeling on each tower.
The retailer also selected the solar powered configuration for each unit, eliminating the need to trench for electrical wiring. Flashing beacons at the top of each tower run completely wire-free and even have a 10-day battery back up.
What’s Next for CASE?
Even though contactless pick-up started because of the pandemic, the company plans to continue the popular, convent service long term. As more and more retailers permanently adopt similar services, CASE will be available to customize our Blue Light Towers – with or without integrated wire-free phone technology – to suit any business or brand.

CASE Blue Light Towers and CASE e-Phones offer simple one-button activation of voice connectivity to the local police and emergency dispatch center. The operator can then assess the need and deploy the necessary first responders to the scene.
Units remain active even when power is out – a major advantage during Detroit winter storms.
Cellular units onboard the latest CASE equipment models come 4G ready and will be ahead of the 3G sunset already underway by many cellular carriers.
An optional feature of Blue Light Towers and e-Phones from CASE is public address broadcast – which allows for announcements to be made to the entire network or a portion of the network in case of transportation interruptions.
