Our Mission
To provide answers, solutions, and support for all of life’s Just In CASE emergency moments… making sure help is there when people need it.
Our Goal
To continue to be an innovator in next generation wireless emergency communications technology – ensuring that state-of-the-art solutions for staying in touch are always available to the communities and clients we serve.
Our History
Motorist aid call boxes have been on the sides of roads since the mid 1960s. These systems were all landline-based systems that were provided by the local telephone companies. Los Angeles County, a pioneer in transportation technologies, had one of the most extensive landline call box systems in the country.
By the early 1980s these systems began to show their wear. Their usefulness had long been acknowledged and a new technology was required to replace these aging systems.
Comarco Wireless Technologies (CWT) developed the solar-powered cellular call box to meet this need. The cellular call box product quickly replaced landline systems throughout California. CWT began manufacturing this product in 1987.
Prior to 1996, the GTE Call Box Division was the sales and marketing channel for their call boxes, and in September of 1996 CWT assumed responsibility for all operations.
In January of 1997, CWT bought the Cubic Communications call box product line, which served to consolidate the call box industry.
CASE Systems, Inc. was formed to acquire the call box assets from Comarco Wireless Technologies. Through its acquisition of this business, CASE has continued to provide superior call box solutions, but has also expanded to include leading-edge Blue Light Towers, E-phones, retrofit upgrades, wireless installation solutions, and other innovative technologies for creating comprehensive public safety programs across the country.
Rebranded/Renamed to CASE Emergency Systems – In 2018, CASE focuses even deeper on Emergency Communications Systems. Having provided solutions to circumnavigate issues relating to suicides from bridges, in-school locations, and even remote locations like parks where traditional cellular systems have limited connectivity and wired connections are not feasable…and the introduction of additional technologies such as cameras, LED area lighting, mass notification speakers/monitors, solar power systems….
CASE has renamed itself to hone this deeper focus, and on it’s anniversary has become known as CASE Emergency Systems.
What others are saying
I cannot say enough about CASE Emergency Systems and our working relationship with them. We are early in the process, but are implementing a 3-year plan to replace our 24 existing phones and add 18 more. The simplicity of installation, the automatic daily self-diagnostic reports, the low maintenance, and the company’s overall service are outstanding. Our current project and initial installations are our first use of CASE products. They are excellent on all counts, and we will continue to use CASE Emergency Systems into the foreseeable future.
Thank you for the phones. They work flawlessly, and the members love them.
The Iron County Sheriff’s Office is very excited about the addition of these satellite phones in these remote locations. This will help all emergency services in Iron County to rapidly respond to emergencies where there is little or no cell phone coverage.
The phones are simple to use. One need only open the call box and follow the 4-step instructions. These are a unique and valuable asset to the County, and we hope that individuals will recognize their value and help us maintain and protect them so if and when they are needed, they can serve members of and visitors to our great community in times of need.
Since the Call Box has been installed we have had two medical calls which were critical cases. Thanks to the Call Box Law, medical aid was at location in 10 minutes or so. In the past with no cell coverage folks had to drive out of the canyon… This would add about 30 minutes to the response time. We believe lives were saved due to the Call Box.
Thank you everyone, this means a lot to my department as we work toward improving public safety and officer safety. Every person who calls us from a phone box at the bottom foot paths lowers the chance of harming themselves and us getting harmed as we work to help them.
