FAQs

Are CASE Emergency Systems Blue Light Tower Phones, Wall-Mounted E-phones, and Call Boxes Cell-Phone-Powered?

All CASE Emergency System products offer the option for voice connection through traditional hardwired lines, voice and data connection through cellular network with Verizon or AT&T wireless, or through Satellite phone powered by Iridium. CASE partners with these carriers to be able to provide turnkey wireless service. We also have the capability to broadcast mass notifications via these connections through our tower monitors.

Are CASE Emergency Systems Products Completely Wireless?

Yes, if desired, any Blue Light Tower, E-Phone, or Lexan Call Box can be installed with no trenching, and only enough digging as required to properly secure a ground-mounted solution. Solar panels and batteries eliminate the need for electrical wiring above or below ground and cellular or satellite communication options eliminate the need for traditional telephone wiring.

Which components of CASE Emergency Systems products are made in the USA?

All our products are designed, manufactured, and assembled in our factory in Irvine, CA.

How do people use a CASE Emergency Systems Blue Light Emergency Tower Phone or other security solution to call for help?

Depending on the selected options for our Blue Light Towers, E-Phones, or Lexan Call Boxes, users may press a single button to be automatically connected to emergency response (such as 911). The two-way speaker panel allows users to speak directly to an emergency authority and hear responses without need for a handset.

However, if desired, our products can be customized to include a handset – though we traditionally recommend this be done in enclosed areas or in combination with the use of the Lexan Call Box that protects handsets from outdoor conditions.

What custom features does CASE Emergency Systems offer for emergency communications technologies?

Our systems are compatible with ADA Standards for Accessible Design regulations and are available in any color. CASE Blue Light Tower Phones, E-Phones, and call boxes can be converted to Solar or AC power, wireless (CDMA, GSM, and Satellite), wireline and TTY communication through our interchangeable subsystems without the need to replace existing hardware.

Do I really need 4G equipment? What’s the difference from 3G?

Because all major wireless carriers have announced they will be shutting down their 3G networks and switching to 4G LTE, we strongly recommend that any new equipment be 4G equipped. Once 3G networks have been shut down, 3G equipment will be unable to make or receive calls.

If you already have 3G equipment, don’t worry – CASE offers a 4G Cellular Radio Upgrade Kit that is compatible with CASE equipment as well as many other major emergency phone and communication systems. Simply request a consultation and/or schedule an upgrade installation to be ready for the 3G sunset when it occurs.

What others are saying

Thank you for the phones. They work flawlessly, and the members love them.

Since the Call Box has been installed we have had two medical calls which were critical cases. Thanks to the Call Box Law, medical aid was at location in 10 minutes or so. In the past with no cell coverage folks had to drive out of the canyon… This would add about 30 minutes to the response time. We believe lives were saved due to the Call Box.

John Gulserian
Program Manager, Nevada County Office of Emergency Services

As a Vendor in the Emergency Callbox Realm, I find CASE Emergency Systems to be one of the most efficient and well thought-out product lines that I deal with in the 911 industry. Their Callboxes and Emergency management systems are second to none. Engineered to be backward compatible the reliability will stand the test of time. I personally promote their products because they are nearly bomb proof! Their customer service and small business feel helps you to meet your priorities. Without a doubt I recommend you look into CASE Emergency Systems for any of your Safety/911 needs.

Thank you everyone, this means a lot to my department as we work toward improving public safety and officer safety. Every person who calls us from a phone box at the bottom foot paths lowers the chance of harming themselves and us getting harmed as we work to help them.

Ryan Hall
Staff Sergeant, Delta Police Department

The phones are simple to use. One need only open the call box and follow the 4-step instructions. These are a unique and valuable asset to the County, and we hope that individuals will recognize their value and help us maintain and protect them so if and when they are needed, they can serve members of and visitors to our great community in times of need.

John Higley
Emergency Management Coordinator, Iron County

The Iron County Sheriff’s Office is very excited about the addition of these satellite phones in these remote locations. This will help all emergency services in Iron County to rapidly respond to emergencies where there is little or no cell phone coverage.

Mark Gower

I cannot say enough about CASE Emergency Systems and our working relationship with them. We are early in the process, but are implementing a 3-year plan to replace our 24 existing phones and add 18 more. The simplicity of installation, the automatic daily self-diagnostic reports, the low maintenance, and the company’s overall service are outstanding. Our current project and initial installations are our first use of CASE products. They are excellent on all counts, and we will continue to use CASE Emergency Systems into the foreseeable future.
