Stay Safe with Coronavirus/COVID-19
To all the individuals and communities we serve,
Like everyone else, we are paying close attention to the current coronavirus/COVID-19 situation as it continues to change and evolve. Please know that the health and safety of our employees, our neighbors, and our clients remain among our highest priorities – even in the face of this challenge.
As a specialist in emergency communications and preparedness, we wanted to take this opportunity to share some insight from our many years being there for people… just in CASE.
#1 – Communication is everything – if you’re worried about your risk of infection, be sure to contact your family physician or health care provider. Continue to follow CDC guidance and local recommendations in your area on hand washing and social distancing. Remember, it’s not solely about managing your own risk, but also those you may come in contact with that may have higher risks of complications associated with the virus.
#2 – Prepare, don’t panic – remember that this is not a natural disaster that will knock out power, water, and other vital resources. Make sure that in your desire to be prepared to stay home a few extra days, you aren’t taking resources away from others in your community wishing to do the same thing.
#3 – A little courtesy goes a long way – maybe it’s an elderly neighbor who shouldn’t be in a crowded grocery store, or maybe it’s offering to watch a friend’s child for the day because they don’t have a work-from-home scenario at their job. There are dozens of ways to make this situation easier for all of us, so don’t be afraid to lend a helping hand.
For us at CASE Emergency Systems – we’re still operating as normal from our field offices and are working with local officials across the country to comply with social distancing and other health and safety protocols as needed. We will advise you of any changes as necessary, should they occur. Until then, wishing you and yours continued good health and safety.
