Recently, CASE Blue Light Towers became the centerpieces of a new public safety initiative designed to bring quicker response time and greater peace of mind to the residents of the Bronx in New York City.
The area’s parks had recently suffered some very public deaths when teenagers drowned in a park and emergency teams could not locate them in time, and when a Laguardia College student had been beaten and left in the park, unable to call for help or medical assistance. As of August 30th 2017 – city officials are hoping to make those situations and others like them things of the past. 40 CASE Blue Light Tower Call Boxes were installed in four different parks, covering more than 200 acres of public space with the ability to call or signal for help at the touch of a button.
