CASE Lexan Call Boxes Debut in Utah
Getting away from it all is part of the appeal of the great outdoors… but it can leave people with less access to help or emergency services. In Utah, where many popular recreation areas for hunting grounds, ranches, driving ranges, and campgrounds are located far from town and away from cell-phone signals, local officials wanted a way to provide additional security for residents and visitors.
CASE Lexan Call Boxes were the answer.
As the first installation of its kind in the state of Utah, the simple closed-box design with a solar-powered battery and wireless satellite-phone capabilities made CASE the easy and effective choice. Located at the Iron County Shooting Range and in Cedar Canyon along SR 14, the initial response to the public safety phones has been nothing but positive.
“The Iron County Sheriff’s Office is very excited about the addition of these satellite phones in these remote locations. This will help all emergency services in Iron County to rapidly respond to emergencies where there is little or no cell phone coverage.”
–Iron County Sheriff, Mark Gower
